How to Massage Acupressure Points on Neck and Shoulder


Neck and shoulder pain are common. Some people experience only neck pain or only shoulder pain, while others experience pain in both areas. In order to release the stress on neck and shoulder muscle, we can stimulate the acupressure pints on both neck and shoulder. Please see the attached point chart. We can use  handheld massager to put the ball on those points. Stay there for 5 minutes each. You will feel the big difference after the treatment. It is not hard to do by ourselves. Points (A)–Stimulating those points to help headach and neck pain.
Location: Below the base of the skull, in the hollow between the two large vertical neck muscles, two to three inches apart depending on the size of the head.
Benefits: Relieves arthritis in the shoulders and neck, headaches, and stiff neck.


Points (B) — Stimulating those points to help shoulder pain.
Caution: Pregnant women should press lightly on this point.
Location: On the muscle at the highest point of the shoulder, one to two inches out from the side of the lower neck.
Benefits: Relieves shoulder tension, nervousness, irritability, and fatigue.

Points (C) –Stimulating those points to help shoulder pain.
Location: On the shoulders, midway between the base of the neck and the outside of the shoulders, one-half inch below the top of the shoulders.
Benefits: Relieves muscular tension, stiff necks, and shoulder pain.

    1. Acupressure is an effective way to relieve neck Pain and stiffness in neck. I think Neck and Shoulder Massager is helpful for the acupressure point for neck pain relief can be stimulated with finger pressure which can be as effective as acupuncture.
